THE VIBRATIONAL RATES OF COLOR

The vibrational rates of color is one principle that can be disputed by no one.

In 1666, Sir Isaac Newton was credited with the first valuable theory of color through his use of a prism. Newton, who also formulated the law of gravity, may have been looking for universal principles – principles not to be understood during this time – such as the correlation of his seven primary colors with the seven charkas of the body.

The colors viewed by Newton were the same colors and, in the same sequential order, as the colors of the seven charkas recognized by many spiritualists and new thought trend people throughout the world. The order in which these colors appeared were: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.

Following the premise that the body is a four-pole magnet with seven minim batteries, referred to as charkas. These batteries (charkas) emanate energy. Each chakra emanates a different vibration, thus projecting a corresponding vibratory color of its own. This lends much to the effectiveness of color therapy, and rightly so.

If one of your charkas has shut down or is not functioning to its maximal potential, you may need a strong dose of that particular color to get yourself going. This may be the basis to the saying, “I feel blue.” Since blue is one of the colors for balance in and around the body, if you are in need of blue, you, in turn, feel blue.

One method of measuring vibrational rates is called the Angstrom method. One Angstrom unit is 100 millionth of a centimeter. The vibrational rates of each color by Angstrom units are listed below.

Angstrom Vibrational Chart

Red 6000 – 6700 Angstrom units
Orange 5900 – 6000 Angstrom units
Yellow 5800 – 5900 Angstrom units
Green 5000 – 5500 Angstrom units
Blue 4700 – 5000 Angstrom units
Indigo Exact vibrational rate inconclusive
Violet 4300 – 4600 Angstrom units

6700 Angstrom units is a lower vibrational rate than 4300 Angstrom units. This method of measurement will help you determine your daily needs, as well as your growth and development.

If you wake up feeling the need to wear something red, you will know that your vibrational rate is somewhere between 6000 and 6700 Angstrom units. Correlate this with your mood and the different listings recorded in this book under the color red, you will see where your energy is being directed.

When your mood is vibrating in a direction that is atypical of your character is not congruent with what you want, light the colored candle that will give you what you are aspiring toward. You will only be able to use this method during the bring time frame. If you have under a release time frame, you may light a red candle upside down. This will free you from any anxiety that you may be feeling. However, it will not give you want you want. It will only get you comfortably through the existing time frame.

To raise your vibration rate, light the colored candle representing what you want right side up. To lower your vibration rate, light the colored candle that represents where you are presently upside down.
