Chinese Element Calendar
As we determined the importance of the elements that were emanating at the time of our birth, we will divide that information on a deeper level. The next charts will show the Chinese Calendar, which will reveal to you the significant element on the day that you were born.
When dealing with the element, you will find greater insight into your life. This information will also answer questions that you have about your personality. It has always been interesting to see a person who has no earth in their astrological chart, but shows all the signs of an earth sign personality. Then we find the time of their birth was an earth sign, as well as the day of their birth.
When you find the element of your birthday, compare it with the element of your birth time. Are these elements compatible? If they are, you will want to surround yourself with the other elements. This balances out your environment, remembering to exclude the two elements that your personality represents. In any case, you will be adding the missing elements to your environment, thus creating the balance.
For example, if you were born at an earth time and in an earth year, you will not want to surround yourself with a terra cotta collection. His would be too much earth.
Balance is, as we have discussed, vital. In the same way, if you were born during a fire year, you would not want to add an inordinate amount of water because water destroys fire. Again, we must have balance. DO NOT compensate. A little more is more than enough. There will always be an element that will destroy another element. This cycle is called balance, and balance is essential in the cycle of life. The same as yin and yang has established a cycle, a balance. Yin and yang are not opposing forces. They are complementary to each other. Without one, the other cannot exist. The same as, without darkness (yin) there cannot be light (yang), without sun (yang) there would be no moon (yin), and without life (yang) there would be no death (yin).
We will be talking a lot about balance in this book. You will find that the word alone is not enough to create it being so. You must make sure that you are establishing the balance, not just talking about it. So many people talk about wanting something, but seldom do anything to achieve their desire. You must be a willing participant in these life-changing events.
As you begin to use Feng Shui candle lighting, the changes will occur. This is not about magic. It is about establishing the balance within your earthen environment. This will become a global issue for you. You will curtail the amount of negative influences in your life, as well as consume that which is good for you. You will be establishing a healthy balance and this balance will change your life forever.
We have all heard that we must do the right thing. Feng Shui candle lighting is all about doing the right thing. If your house is a mess, if your billfold is disorganized, where do you think the balance is? You must clean a space for change to occur. There must be a place in your billfold for money to enter, i.e., balance, harmony and respect; for us, for our homes, for our belongings and for our life.
